The 5040 are the quintessential BC Freeride ski. They sport an elongated nose and tail rise that allow for quick turn initiation, all the while remaining stable when you need it most. The go to shape when touring the backcountry, or exploring that "less travelled" zone at your home resort.
Triaxial fiberglass keeps the ride smooth and predictable, while carefully placed carbon adds a quick, lively response.
A clean, vertically laminated wood core keeps the ride balanced, lively and naturally smooth.
Seamless urethane sidewalls protect the core, take the edge off chatter and help the edges feel settled.
Every natural wood veneer is a little different, giving each build its own look and a touch of extra damping.
Titanal under the bindings helps the screws hold tight, smooths out chatter and adds dependable edge grip.
A basalt layer around the binding area spreads load, cuts down vibration and adds strength where it is needed most.
A tough sintered base holds wax well and keeps the glide fast and consistent in changing snow.
Super Sap® bonds the whole layup together with dependable strength and a lower-impact, bio-based resin system.
Smooth, forgiving and easy to trust, with plenty of durability for everyday riding.
Lighter and quicker, with fast energy return and a lively feel. Basalt layers sandwich the carbon to add damping and strength.
The 5040 likes to go fast, laying down calm, precise turns with plenty of support on firm snow.
Early rise makes turn entry smoother, while camber keeps support and pressure underfoot.
The long radii and narrow platform feel calm and predictable when you lean into a turn.
The long running length stays settled when you let the ski run through open terrain.
The mid-stiff flex feels direct without becoming a handful between turns.
Extra Narrow (-8mm), Narrow (-4mm), Wide (+4mm), Extra Wide (+8mm), and custom widths available.
